Luke 1:39-45

“In those days Mary set out and went with haste to a Judean town in the hill country, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leaped in her womb.”

Imagine, a young teenager finding out she is “with child”. And not only that, the angel Gabriel tells her the baby is God’s Son, the long awaited Savior!

It is much to ponder. Just think of the gossip around Nazareth. So God leads Mary to her relative Elizabeth’s home. She finds solace and comfort there. These pregnant women share their concerns and anticipation.

God provides special people to guide and console us in our trying and troubling times too. A daily dose of God’s wisdom will get us through. God was there in the past to support Mary and Elizabeth. God is present to sustain us. God will be around to provide in the future.
Dear Lord, we ask for Your guidance and direction in our lives. Amen. Let’s prepare………. Jesus is coming!
